With the "IEC 106 Award", the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC honors persons who have rendered outstanding services in the technical or organizational field of a current standardization project. Of the 16,000 standard experts working in the IEC worldwide, only 150 are awarded annually. Very gratifying is the conferring of the award in the year 2017 to three authorities in this field from Switzerland, ambassadors for distinguished achievements in the field of international standardization. The awards were presented on 15 November 2017 by CES Vice President and Electrosuisse CEO Markus Burger. Beat Bertschi receives the award for his successful collaboration as Chairman of the Maintenance Team TC38 / MT40, which has developed the document IEC TR 61869-100. This is the manual for the use of current transformers in network protection applications. Beat Bertschi brought new aspects into the document, which significantly improve the understanding of the various definitions of the protective current transformers.
From a small enterprise to a global player
PFIFFNER celebrates its 90th anniversary
90 years of eventful company history. The year 2017 was dominated by our anniversary. In 1927 Emil Pfiffner bought the factory building in Hirschthal and founded his own company. Over the past 90 years, despite the economic and currency crises, the company has continiously grown and developed. Today, the Pfiffner Holding AG forms the holding company of the group of companies.
Many years of experience, comprehensive expertise, international market presence and the desire to continuously develop our products; these aspects make us an efficient and solution-orientated partner.
